CHILDCARE PROVIDED WITH ADMISSION!
A presentation, meet-and-greet, and Q&A with John Loveland, MSW. John is the Clinical Director of Paws-Abilities, Inc., which provides service dogs for kids and adults with disabilities. John also has extensive experience working with children with autism, including as a Social Worker and Clinical Director, and was Clinical Director of Loveland Academy, where he supervised about 80 professional staff and 40 children in Day and Residential Treatment. He also holds a professional Indiana Teaching License for Middle and High School. Through Paws-Abilities, Inc., John and his team provide funds for their mission of service dog placement by using funds from their store, where they sell quality dog, cat, and wild bird food and pet care supplies, to provide all services and dogs for free to families who benefit. He also really enjoys training and supporting parents, especially assisting parents with the IEP process in schools. John has extensive expertise in various fields and one of his favorite things is helping families learn skills and access tools to support their child’s development and quality of life. John will be addressing topics including autism, diagnosis and intervention, the IEP process, navigating the school system, service dogs, and more.

Tickets $20 and space is limited, so reserve your spot ASAP!
We are VERY excited to be able to host our first Parents Night Out, November 11th, where we will provide childcare from 4pm-8pm (yes, we will be extending our hours for this event only!) We’ll take care of your kids so that you can take care of you to have some time for date night, self-care, spend time with friends, whatever you want to do for up to four hours while your kiddos play at Kids Play Gym! Families that are not participating in Parents Night Out are still welcome to come and play (until 7PM) as well. In order to attend, because this will be a longer and larger event, children must be at least 3 years old and potty-trained. As always, this will be a sensory-friendly and inclusive event.
We will be showing a movie in our party room for the kids, and you are welcome to send a sack dinner and/or snack for kiddos to eat during the event for dinner & a movie. We will also have all the same fun Kids Play Gym activities and a large group of staff and volunteers (all background-checked) that are all excited to play!
We have a small intake form just to make sure we know a little bit about your kiddo and their needs. The intake form can be found HERE where it can be downloaded and emailed to us or returned in person. We will also have the intake form available at the gym as well.
Once your intake form is completed and sent back to us and you have bought your ticket, we will officially reserve your spot. We will have limited spots so that we maintain an ideal kid-to-adult ratio, so we encourage you to reserve your spot as soon as possible. Tickets are $20 (per kid) and non-refundable.
WITH THE TOY CHEST!
Saturday, November 18
Try out several awesome new toys from THE TOY CHEST and find out more about the varied benefits of each toy! Meet the owner, Hilary, and learn more about play-based learning, sensory play, the benefits of play and more!
Although we take a lot of pride in always being inclusive and sensory-friendly, we wanted to have a special night every week that specifically celebrates kids in the community with disabilities and still open for the general public as well.
Although some of our equipment does have weight and size restraints and we are typically geared towards kids 10 and under, we feel that there are some activities here that would benefit older kids with disabilities and sensory processing difficulties. Therefore, on Wednesdays from 3pm-7pm we will up our age limit to kids 15 and under for this one night every week.
